California Homeschool Laws

California does not currently have specific homeschool laws that we could find.  As of right now children have the options of being educated in a private school, establish a private school in the child's home, the child may be enrolled in the schools independent study program,  the child may be enrolled in a charter schools independent study program, or the child may be tutored by a credentialed teacher. 

Because these laws are quite vague we suggest you contact the state department of education.

I personally have an aunt who is a teacher in California and she highly recommends the states K-12 independent study program which is currently publicly funded.
